Rankserveurs uses no advertising cookies and no third-party trackers for advertising. Google Analytics audience measurement cookies are only set with the visitor's consent, and this choice can be changed at any time with the “Manage cookies” link at the bottom of every page. Listing statistics work without cookies (see the privacy policy).
Cookies strictly necessary for the service you request and preferences stored in your browser at your request fall, under the CNIL's (French data protection authority) guidance, within the exemptions from consent. For Google Analytics, a choice is asked before anything is stored, through a banner where refusing is as easy as accepting. Until the visitor accepts, Google's script is not loaded. The choice is kept for 6 months, then asked again.

Google Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Limited. Data may be transferred to Google LLC in the United States, under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Google signals and ad personalization are turned off. When the visitor refuses or withdraws consent, the script is no longer loaded and these cookies are deleted.

For a signed-in account, the theme and media playback preference are also saved in the profile so you get them on other devices.
Third-party services
- Cloudflare Turnstile handles the bot check on some forms, such as voting or contact. The widget is loaded from Cloudflare's servers, which analyse technical browser signals to tell humans from bots. Cloudflare states it does not use it for advertising or to track visitors across sites.
- Stripe handles payments. Payment details are entered on Stripe's pages, where Stripe's own cookie policy applies.
- Outbound links (a server's website or Discord) lead to other sites. Once on another site, its own rules apply.
Deleting this data
Cookies and local storage can be cleared at any time from your browser settings. Clearing the session cookie signs you out. Clearing preferences restores the default settings.
