1. Purpose
These terms govern the use of Rankserveurs, a directory and ranking of private and community game servers published by Rankserveurs (the publisher's identity and contact details are given in the legal notice). Using the site, and in particular creating an account, means accepting these terms.
2. Access and account
- Browsing the directory, ranking, community pages and guides is free and open to all.
- Voting, posting a review, saving favorites or managing a listing requires an account. The information provided must be accurate and the email address must be verified.
- Account holders are responsible for keeping their password confidential and for actions taken from their account.
- The minimum age is 15. Below that age, the consent of a parent or legal guardian is required.
- The account can be deleted at any time from the "My data" page.
3. Rules for players
- Votes are limited to one per account and per server, within the delay shown on the listing. It is forbidden to automate votes, use several accounts, buy or sell votes, or bypass bot checks.
- Reviews are limited to one per account and per server and must be based on real experience of the server. It is forbidden to review your own server or a direct competitor's, to post paid reviews or abusive, discriminatory, defamatory or illegal statements, and to disclose third parties' personal information.
- Reports must be made in good faith and explained.
4. Rules for listing owners
- Only a person who actually runs the server, or who is authorised by the team running it, may create or claim its listing.
- Published information (name, description, connection address, features, declared population, monetization) must be accurate and kept up to date. Declared population is always shown as such and is not used in the ranking.
- Uploaded media must be royalty-free or used with their authors' permission. The uploader certifies this when uploading.
- Listings must not contain illegal, hateful, pornographic or gratuitously violent content, counterfeiting, misleading information about the server, links to malware or cheats, or any incentive to break the ranking rules (buying votes, automated votes, paid reviews). In-game vote rewards are allowed if they are open to every voter and go through the mechanism provided by Rankserveurs.
- Servers of some games are subject to specific rules, shown on the game's page.
5. Ranking and paid placements
The organic ranking is computed according to the rules published on the "Ranking rules" page. No payment to Rankserveurs changes a server's rank, votes, reviews or measurements. Paid offers are advertising and are always labelled "Sponsored". They are the podium (three places on the left, in the middle and on the right, with no rank number or medal) and the Sponsored offer (highlighted row in lists, top of search results, suggestions on the vote page, listing customisation). Rank numbers and medals are reserved for the ranking computed from votes.
6. Moderation and sanctions
Rankserveurs may refuse, hide or remove content, cancel votes, and suspend a listing or account in case of breach of these terms or illegal content. Each decision is explained to the person concerned, and public decisions are recorded in the moderation log. A decision can be appealed via the Contact page. Appeals are reviewed by a person.
7. Paid offers
The paid offers (Podium and Sponsored) are described on the "Pricing" and "Advertising" pages. Their prices are shown in the creator space before any payment. Payments are processed by Stripe, directly or through the account balance. The cancellation, refund and postponement rules are set out on the "Advertising" page.
8. Published content and licence
Authors of content (listings, media, reviews, news) remain its owners. By publishing it, they grant Rankserveurs a non-exclusive, free, worldwide licence to host, reproduce, technically adapt (formats, cropping) and display it on the site and its widgets, for as long as it is published.
9. Liability
Rankserveurs hosts content published by its users and acts promptly once clearly illegal content is reported. Listed servers are run by third parties. Rankserveurs is not responsible for how they operate, their internal rules or purchases made on them. Displayed measurements (players online, Discord activity) are indicative. A failed measurement does not mean a server is offline.

Personal data processing is described in the privacy policy.
11. Changes to these terms
These terms may change. Account holders are informed of significant changes before they take effect.
12. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by French law. In case of dispute, an amicable solution is sought first. The French courts have jurisdiction, subject to the protective rules that benefit consumers.
